After a short break in my BirchBox reviews, here I am with the August one!
I skipped July as I wasn’t home when the box arrived and afterwards it was already too late to post about it, but some of the products will be mentioned in my Favourites video next week, so stay tuned!
Let’s start with the design! This time we’re in a mermaid mood and the box is absolutely gorgeous, right? I am definitely keeping it on my desk.
This month I must say I am extremely happy with the box and there are several reasons for that! First of all – Everybody got a Spectrum Collections brush! If you’re following me, you know those are my absolute favourites and I am really obsessed by them. The subscribers got the chance to choose the colour and I picked the A05 brush from the Bomb Shell collection! I already have the same brush from their Marbleous range and it is absolutely stunning!
Another product, that I have tried before and I absolutely love, is the Vita Coco Coconut Oil – as the name suggests, it is just pure coconut oil, extra virgin, organic, cold-pressed and raw. I love applying it on the ends of my hair, on my face as a night-time moisturizer or on my hands instead of hand cream. Not only hydrates well, but also smells amazing…well, it is coconut oil after all.
The next product is a variation of one that I already own and it is the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Multi-Usage Dry Oil Shimmer. I’ve been using the non-shimmery version for months and it is absolutely brilliant. I’ve talked about it more in my January Favourites, so you can go check this out. The shimmery version is the same gorgeous product, but with …shimmer (being Captain Obvious here).
The Number 4 Sugar Spray is a product I have never heard of so far and I am quite curious to try it. So far I’ve used many SALT sprays, but never a sugar one?! I haven’t tested it yet, but if it turns out to be a win, I will surely be mentioning it in one of my future favourites posts! You know I love me some good hair care!
And last, but not least, the second full sized product for this month’s box – LOC One & Done Shadow Stick in the shade Rock Steady. Beautiful colour! So far I’ve only swatched it and it appears super creamy and long-lasting (I couldn’t wash it off my hand for the life of me!). I’ve used one other product from the brand (cruelty-free, by the way) and I really liked it, so I have high expectations about this one too. Will report on impressions once I test it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my little summary of this month’s Birchbox and if you’d like to join the subscription too, don’t forget you can get £5 OFF your first box with the link HERE.
