I’ve been tagged to do this post by the lovely Veselina from Smileystylelady and her post you can check out here. I am supposed to pick 5 products that I’ve bought because of YouTube…and I have no clue how am I going to mention only 5, considering that I’ve been following some of my favourite beauty gurus there for more that 5-6 years…but let’s try!
- The Wunderbrow Gel
This is something I’ve mentioned in my February Favourites and my May Shopping Haul and I completely love it. The reason why I bought it, however, is Tati from GlamLifeGuru – if you haven’t watched her videos, now is the time to do it, she is one of my absolute favourites. Her video about the brow gel you can see here.
- Benefit Porefessional Face Primer
This one I blame again on Tati, she even included it in her 2016 Favourites video and I must say I am really impressed. Even before buying it, however, I was convinced that it is going to be an absolute win. Why? Have you seen Tati’s make-up?! Honestly, she is flawless. There are, obviously, different skin types, so everything is very individual, however her judgement has always been trustworthy.
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is probably one of the most discussed drugstore products on the market in the UK – everybody loves it, everybody talks about it, so I, obviously, had to buy it. That decision came after watching Fleur de Force’s videos (she’s mentioned it in a lot!!!And also if you don’t watch her chanel or read her blog, I highly recommend fixing this 🙂 ) about it and my first one I purchased perhaps 3-4 years ago. Since then I make sure I always have it in my make-up drawer. I don’t use it every day as it is very high coverage, but when I need that little bit extra, I always go back to it (currently distracted by the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, but that is another post!).
- Armani Power Fabric Foundation
There’s been a huge hype about this (not so) new release by Armani and I must say the final opinion, which made me buy it, was Anna’s (The Anna Edit). She is a gorgeous and sophisticated lady, with simple, yet elegant and practical style, so hearing her opinion about this product really made a difference. You can also watch her video about Where To Save And Where To Spend when it comes to make-up, I found it really helpful! I am cosidering a full review with photos of that foundation, so stay tuned. It is also what I used on my Birthday. Meanwhile make sure you check out Anna’s Blog and YouTube Channel.
- Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation
Now, this is something that YouTube WILL make me buy it (hence why I don’t have a picture of it), because I really really want it, but Catrice are not available in the UK (or at least I haven’t been able to find their products) so I’m waiting to go to Bulgaria next week and get it from there. I’ve seen the product in many bulgarian blogs but the video that made me want it was the “I ❤ Drugstore Products TAG” by the beautiful Valerie Yordanova. If you’re from Bulgaria (or speak Bulgarian), definitely head over to her channel and follow her, as she is one of the sweetest people you could come across on YouTube!
Limiting myself to only 5 products! As I do love hearing other people’s opinions, I am taggin ALL of you to share your answers and I would like to specifically ask Valerie to share her product purchases, that were influenced by YouTube, as well as Venelina from Surely A MakeUp Addict and Mariya from Be Glamorous 🙂
Do you get easily tempted to buy new products, or do you do good research before that? Which are the bloggers and YouTubers you trust when it comes to product reviews? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
