Shopping Haul – May 2017

Greetings!

After it turned out that I’ve gone a bit overboard with the shopping during May (oh wow, big surprise…) and I couldn’t fit all the products in one post, here is part two from the shopping haul for the month, a.k.a. where did my money go!?

Starting with an old favourite that I’m purchasing again – the Wunderbrow gel. Check my previous post where you can find more information about it – February Favourites. 🙂

After completely destroying my previous two pairs, here I am again with some lashes from Eylure. The previous ones I liked quite a lot so I decided to stick to the brand. This time I chose the Eylure 080 and the  Fleur&Fabulous by Fleur de Force (by the way, if you don’t know who she is, you totally have to go to her website and youtube chanel NOW!).
The Fleur and Fabulous I wore on Saturday for my birthday party and I can say they are quite thick and full lashes, however not too long and curled. I had to skip applying any mascara to my own lashes as they were appearing longer than the falsies. They are, however, quite comfortable to wear once you get used to them (took me around an hour after putting them on). I used the glue inlcuded in the package and I had no worries for the next 12 hours. Looking forward to trying some more lashes from the range!

NARS All day Luminous Weightless Foundation – I’ve been spying this little treasure for quite some time and I kept telling to myseld – Melina, you have 20 foundations, you do NOT need another one!. It didn’t work.
NARS is not so easy to get hold of here so I ended up ordering it online from Fabled. The shade choice was quite easy – I awalys go for the lightest one, in this case – Siberia. Perfect match for me, neutral combination of pink and yellow undertones, but keep in mind it is VERY light!
It turned out that you really have to perform a little dance and shake it very well before use, otherwise you get some oily liquid coming out with no colour to it whatsoever. The coverage is very good, it hides the imperfections but it doesn’t look like a mask on the skin if you apply it with a brush. I tried with the beauty blender, which is usually my go-to method for foundations, but this one I find to be looking a bit cakey after setting it with powder that way. With me it worked best with the Rimmel Match Perfection loose powder.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – Another gem, which I was trying not to buy for a long time but I gave in. I was going to choose the lightest shade but the lady at the counter at John Lewis advised me to get Vanilla and she was right – perfect match!
This is now officially my favourite concealer (aaand I do have quite a lot of them…). You have to apply it quickly as it dries rapidly but it stays in place for ages, does not crease and pretty much I look like I’ve had 12 hours sleep when I use it in combination with my La Roche-Posay Redermic R Eye Cream (read about it here).

And my last purchase were two products from Schwarzkopf’s range Got2b – the 2 sexy Big Volume Push Up hairspray and spray mousse. I’ve read some really good reviews about them so I hope they live up to my expectations. So far I’ve used them twice and the hair does not feel heavy and horrible as it usually does when I use similar products, in fact it still looked clean and fresh 4 days later. The holding power is quite impressive as well – my curls lasted 12 hours on Saturday and usually I can barely make them stay for an hour.

I am certainly happy with all my purchases and nothing has disappointed me so far. Have you tried any of those products yourselves?

Mells x
