This month’s box took its time to arrive. Normally I used to get them in the first week of the month, however since January the waiting has been longer and longer – I guess the subscription is getting more popular. My March box arrived on the 13th. This time the design is a bit different – we don’t get our cute little drawers, but they’ve included the beloved pouch, which I find quite handy when organising my cables and chargers 🙂
In general I am very pleased with the Benefit product that everyone received this month and the fact that we could chose our shades. I still haven’t put it to the test but it looks rather promising.
Benefit They’re Real! Double the Lip in Lusty Rose – It claims that it works as lip liner and lipstick in the same time. I am not sure how convenient that will be when it comes to application, however it does look like it’s going to create a very pretty ombre effect. If I love it, keep an eye on my monthly favourites and you might see it there with more details.
Balance Me Instant Lift Primer – It is said to hide pores and blur lines. Looks quite lovely and smooth when I test it on my hand, however I hate the scent. It is too herbal and to me it smells like a medication. But I guess it depends on personal preferences as my mother tried it and said it has a lovely scent…
I will be trying it out under my foundation before a very long day at work so we shall see how it behaves! 🙂
Rituals: The Ritual of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel – Yet another shower gel from Birchbox. Don’t get me wrong…I love showering. But recently I’ve piled up so many shower products from my Birchbox, that I am running out of space and need to store them under my bed. On the other hand, this one smells reeeeeeeeeeeeally amazing so I am looking forward to trying it out.
Batiste 2-in-1 Invisible Dry Shampoo & Conditioner – This product claims to be able to nourish my dry ends while still acting as a dry shampoo. I am not sure if I’ve been doing it wrong, but I always put dry shampoo only on my roots?! So I am not exactly sure I’d be happy to have conditioner on them, as I don’t want them to be flat and heavy. Will have to try it in the next few days when my hair starts craving a wash and I will keep you up to date on my Facebook and Instagram pages.
Caudalie Vine[Activ] Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum – I am really looking forward to trying this one out, I quite like Caudalie. The sample size is quite tiny and there is not much product there, so I am not sure I will be able to notice any effect from it, but the consistency is very nice and liquidy, does not feel heavy at all. The scent is also pleasant.
You know I genuinely love BirchBox and I cannot recommend it enough, however this month I am a bit disappointed – I don’t think it was good value for money and we did not get our full sized product as we usually do. The lipstick is lovely and is a good sample size, however the rest of the things don’t really justify the monthly cost.
I will continue being a subscriber and will be hoping that the next month’s box makes up for this one. If you want to try out this month’s products or sign up for the next box and get £5 off of it, click here.
If you are curious what I got in my February BirchBox, you can check my review here. The brush and the eyeshadow are absolute favourites and I use them every day!
Enjoy your week!
